Brownie on patrol

An old brown hyena ventures into a pan in search of leftovers from predator kills. These extremely hardly carnivores are the ultimate decomposers and can even devour months-old dried out skin and bone. Needless to say, the brownies play a vital role in the fragile Kgalagadi semi-desert ecosystem.
