Namibia
I LOVE Namibia. It is probably my favorite photographic destination in Southern Africa. Namibia simply inspires me and has so much to offer, from scenic desert landscapes to extraordinary trees, ghost towns, wild desert horses and abundant African Wildlife.

44 imagesOn the fringes of the Namib Desert, near the town of Aus, live a few hundred Wild Horses. A long long time ago the forebears of these wild roaming desert dwellers were once in the service of man, but gained their own freedom and manged to adapt to a lifestyle in the arid harsh desert.

47 imagesThese photographs are from an incredible and highly inspiring place; the well known Ghost town of Kolmanskop, an abandoned mining town in the Namib Desert near Luderitz in Namibia. The desolate town has been taken over by the desert. The dilapidated buildings engulfed in sand create an environment that simply is hard to believe is real.

29 imagesQuiver Trees (Aloe dichotoma) are beautiful trees that fascinate me for their surreal shapes, gorgeous textures and golden bark. Like Baobab trees they each seem to have a unique individual character. Not surprisingly they make perfect subjects for landscape photography. Most of these images were created in the Quiver Tree Forest in Namibia
