Winning images in the Botswana Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2012 Competition –

Cameras for Conservation is a new initiative in the country of Botswana by Steven Stockhall and Guy Symons and hosts the Botswana’s Wildlife Photographer of the year competition annually to promote conservation through photography and to showcase the work of the talented people in the country. They further aim to use the imagery to conduct talks in schools and to take students into the country’s National Parks and Game Reserves to teach people the value of bio-diversity.

I was proud to hear that four of my submitted images were successful in this new competition.

‘Fresh!’-Winner in the Animal Behaviour Category.

‘The Beast of Beasts’ – Winner in the Animal Portraits Category

‘Proud African’ – Second Place in the Landscape Category

‘The Ancient Baobab’ -Highly¬† Commended in the Landscape Category.
